Richard M. Kuehl is a German-American writer and photographer based at Keble College, University of Oxford. He is currently reading for a Bachelor's degree in French and Italian with a particular focus on 19th century literature.

He served as the Director of the Oxford Short Film Festival 2025 and as the President of the Oxford University Photography Society 2024-2025. He is currently the Section Editor for Culture at the Oxford Student.

During the summer of 2024, he worked as an assistant to Mauro Balletti: Internationally acclaimed for his decade spanning collaboration with Italian singer Mina, he frequently works with the likes of Vogue Italia and Harper’s Bazaar: https://mauroballetti.com:.

During the same period, he was also an intern at The Italian Literary Agency SLR, Italy’s most renowned literary agency.

In June of 2024, he was awarded the Nabila Walji Photo prize.
